Day 35 – 17th February 2018 – Munglinup

Not a huge amount to report today.   We didn’t get up to very much, Col did some video editing and I drove up the road for reception to do the blog.  I did pass three Blue Tongue Lizards on the way, and when I arrived at the spot there was a cow on the road that looked guilty for being out of the paddock, so he ran into the bushy trees at the side of the road to hide.  He randomly came out to check if I was still there cramping his style :)  There was also a MASSIVE wasp that landed on my windscreen and walked down into my engine bay that made me extremely nervous.  I was worried that he might find his way through my ventilation system and into the car.  If so, a very undignified exit was about to happen.  I was on high alert.  Glad to report I haven’t seen him since.

I was in my own little world and nearly jumped out of my seat when someone knocked on the car window.  It was a lovely Japanese lady in the middle of nowhere, asking for directions.  I helped her out and then headed back to camp.

When I headed back to camp, there were a huge number of March flies that were fairly aggressive at the campsite which kept us inside the van.  It was a bit risky putting up the annex anyway with the stormy conditions.  So I did some cross stitch (sorry Tania), and we just chilled out.

      1. hahaha well I am glad to report that there was no Wolf Creek Japanese Movie re-enactments that happened. All is well xx

    1. It did freak me out and no I haven’t seen Wolf Creek, but it was my immediate thought whether or not to open the window!! Scared the crap out of me. But she was lovely and I lived, so all good!
I liked your cow pun too by the way. Nice!

    1. Yes! Good memory Jo. Will hopefully get it finished this year :) I will put up a pic of it in the blog. Love the colours.
And no Col doesn’t have one, but seeing he is so good with his sewing I might get him one for his birthday. Maybe a Snowboarding picture hahaha xx

    1. Did you see the pic of him hemming his work pants? Sewing does suit him and he has skills. Might be because his Mum Pat is a bit of a sewing legend – learnt from the best!!! But I don’t think cross stitching is in his future :) x
