Day 59 – 13th March 2018 – Boranup

We woke up with renewed determination to find the Annex and wrote up some ‘Lost’ notices with a reward of $100 for the return of the Annex.  We drove into Margaret River and posted notices on the Community Board there, then drove to Augusta and did the same.

We drove up and down roads doing 40km per hour, scanning the sides.  We would stop and get out where there were steep sections to try and see if it had fallen into a rut we couldn’t see from the road.  We stopped and walked large sections too.  Col and I drove pretty much the whole day, but unfortunately there was no sign of it.  We checked with the Ranger and the Police again but no luck.

We can only hope that someone does find it and returns it to the police station, or sees the Lost notices that we put up.  But we are not holding our breath.  I really feel that we have to focus on the fact that it is a material possession that can be replaced.  We are healthy and we can continue our holiday, so there is much to be thankful for.  That doesn’t mean that we are not bitterly disappointed about it, we definitely are.  But I am going to choose to focus on the good stuff that is happening and there really is so much of that.  Not everything is going to go smoothly all the time and life goes on.

So, tomorrow we are going to head back to Denmark and stay at the Big 4 Ocean Beach Holiday Park for a few nights.
