Day 230 – 1st September 2018 – Darwin

We all agreed that we wanted to take the boat out while Dave was here, and both Col and I really enjoyed the day we went fishing at Dundee Beach.  So off we headed  and did the two and a half hour drive to Dundee Beach to stay overnight at the caravan park and take the boat out fishing Sunday morning.  As we were only staying one night we decided to rent a very basic Donga with a double and a single bed and all bunk in together.  The room was tiny!  But it was fine for what we needed.

In the evening we went to dinner at the Dundee Lodge  and it was a great night out.  The place was packed!  The undercover area filled up so they put a heap of chairs and tables out on the lawn as well to accommodate the numbers.   We sat in the outside dining area and listened to live music.  Good food, good company and a few drinks.  We all really enjoyed it.
