Day 24 – 6th February 2018 – Norseman

Today it was 39 degrees and a storm was meant to arrive around 2pm.  It is now early evening and still no rain.  We decided to head into town and go for a swim today.  They have a beautiful pool which was free!  Such a great way to spend a hot day.  Tomorrow we pack up and head for Esperance where we will be staying put for at least a week, so that will be nice to settle in somewhere for a little bit.  We will hopefully get to do a bit of fishing there too although the weather might still be against us.

We also received the following two videos from the Media Master and Living Legend, Jake Cunningham.

Memory Cove, Lincoln National Park.

And the terrifying moment when Col flew the drone and it was caught by the wind and blown off the cliff at Point Labatt.

  1. Video footage from Memory Cove looks spectacular. Wondering how the Mazda CX5 is handling some of the dirt tracks you have been on…. yours is diesel AWD ?? And towing , how are you finding that ?

    1. Memory Cove really was so beautiful!
The CX5 has been handling towing the boat really well and also navigating the dirt roads, and yes I have the diesel AWD. The fuel economy has been pretty good too. Everything has been going really smoothly and I could not be happier with the car. Says one CX5 owner to the other! Preaching to the converted.

  2. I’ve never been on the dirt though.! Checking out the video the road looked quite rough. Wondered how towing the boat went . Great updates tonight . Thank you xx

    1. Sorry Tania – we didn’t take the CX5 into Memory Cove. We were camping in Coffin Bay so just went on a day trip in Col’s FJ. I have taken the CX5 on dirt roads on this trip, but nothing as rough as Memory Cove. Will let you know if I do. x

  3. I want to go there, there, & there and that place too, one day.
Loving the daily blogs & footage, magical coastline & country very picturesque out there.
Sounds like your coasting along nicely with no major problems.
Good luck on the job front too that will be fun.
    Safe travels.
