Day 307 – 17th November 2018 – Adelaide

Steff organised a BBQ lunch catch up with her parents, Jess and Jody, as well as my beautiful ex-Mother-in-Law Jill.  It was a really fun afternoon and great to see them all.  Jess is part owner of an amazing Rolls Royce built in 1934 and he picked Sam, Steff and I up and took us for a drive around in it.  It was pretty amazing.  It would be so great if that car could talk, it would have seen so much and had some pretty cool stories to share.  It was fun that everyone we passed waved or honked.  Sam was nailing the Queen wave in the front seat.

Sam then gave me a Thermomix lesson and I made a butter chicken curry to take to the shared dinner with the Crew later that evening.  Jo and Tania then arrived to pick me up for the evening festivities.  I was a little disappointed they didn’t organise a Rolls Royce, but luckily I love Mazda CX5s and I was super excited to see these legends!  Tania and Nige had very kindly offered to host a Crew catch up at their place and we had a campfire in the back yard and everyone brought something for a shared dinner.  It was fantastic to catch up with everyone again, was just sad that Col couldn’t be there too.

The legendary Karen Tree made her damper on the fire, and though everyone was full to the brim from an awesome dinner, you always make room for Karen’s damper!  She was also the only organised person that evening to take a photo (thanks Karen!  I was a little distracted catching up with everyone).  It made me laugh that I had to go home to Adelaide for a fire and damper.  I thought it would be such a big part of our travels, but we only got to have a few in the end.

I stayed the night at my beautiful Sister and Brother-In-Laws house, Sam and Brian.  Thanks to the Crew for the catch up, was so good to see you all again.

Fun times in Radelaide and still more to come!
