Day 57 – 11th March 2018 – Boranup

We have had a relaxing day around the camp today.  Erin cooked up some yummy french toast, bacon and maple syrup breakfast this morning that we all appreciated.  We then got creative and Erin, Haim and I spent the morning making caterpillers which turned out very cute (even if I do say so myself).  Hamish and I started them, but Erin and I got right into it and unleashed our crafty sides.

After Haim woke up from his sleep we went down to Surfers Point at Prevally.  There was a surf competition running and we thought we would check it out.  Unfortunately the surf comp had pretty much wrapped up by the time we got down there, but it was a beautiful beach to spend some time at.  There were some Kite Surfers that we enjoyed watching as well as some amazing waves and surfers riding them in.  We think it is where they are holding the Ripcurl Pro in a couple of weeks time.  Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area, but not a safe swimming beach if you are not a strong swimmer.

We stopped off at a lookout overlooking Margaret River.  Col and Jake were excited to stop and fly the drone (footage to come).  Hamish on the other hand was happy to have his Mum sit on his lap, too cute.

Today is the last day that we have Erin, Jake and Hamish with us in Margaret River.  They head off tomorrow morning to make the long journey home to Adelaide.  A 3 and a half our drive, followed by another 3 and a half hour flight!  Hoping that Hamish can hold it together for that long.

To say that we have enjoyed having them with us is an understatement.  What a privilege it is to share time with family.  These three are some of our favourite people on this planet and I deeply appreciate the effort and the cost for them to make the journey over to see us.  We have loved every minute of our time together and now look forward to the next time we get to see you guys!!  So lucky you are our family!
