Day 67 – 21st March 2018 – Denmark

It is our last day in Denmark today and I am not sure that I am ready to leave.  I do really like this place.  It has been nice to take it easy and unwind a bit this week.  I guess that is unfair to say considering we have been on this journey since mid January!  Sorry everyone.

Col was keen to do a surf lesson, so we arrived at Ocean Beach just after 8.30am but unfortunately the Instructor that runs the lessons had to head into Albany today, so there were no lessons being run.  Col was sad.

My joints have all been seizing up and I feel like I am moving around like an old woman.  So I downloaded a Yoga App on my phone and Col and I did a beginners Yoga session on the beach.  Amazing backdrop, but thankfully no photos to upload here.  Unlike my very talented Step-Sister, Brandi-Lee Cester, who is insanely good at Yoga and also very gifted artistically.  She is doing a series of Instagram Photos of Yoga and Art, brandilee_life if you are interested.  Very beautiful.  I did not look like this ha ha ha.  But she is good inspiration.  We also did an 8Fit Tabata workout and a walk along the beach.  The river mouth has been quite shallow so we have been able to walk across it to the other side of the beach.  Apparently it is not always possible to walk across it as they dig it out around August, but for now it is shallow.

There is a huge sand dune that you can climb up if you are so inclined.  We climbed the small one at the base of the big one and that was enough for me!  I was worried that Col was going to want to climb the sand mountain behind it, but he was happy with the small climb thankfully.

The view back over Ocean Beach from the top of the dune was worth the effort.

No need to feel sorry for Col missing his surf lesson as he decided to get his boogie board out and give it a go.

Had a little giggle to myself when read you where up before 8.30 ……….??

    1. It really is lovely Jo. The only thing we have been surprised about is how cool it has been. Not sure if this is standard for the area or what temperatures they usually reach.
Yeah it is a little different when you are working full time and camping to recharge your batteries. We are up much earlier these days. In saying that we are 2 and a half hours behind Adelaide! x

    1. Funny. I have noticed if you use an Emoji off your phone it doesn’t work but the old style Colon and Bracket gets converted ok. Your messages made me giggle though x
